The workshop will take place 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time each day.
This new workshop is designed to provide schools with more comprehensive guidance at the very start of their accreditation journey, ensuring stronger applications and helping schools better assess their readiness for the accreditation process.
As of February 17, 2025, schools are required to attend a mandatory Eligibility Application Workshop before their application will be reviewed by the Eligibility Review Committee. Attending the workshop is required before submitting an eligibility application. The workshop remains valid for two years; after this period, the school must attend another workshop to submit a new eligibility application.
Please note:
- The workshop must be attended in its entirety (virtual workshop - 2 days, in-person workshop - 1 day).
- The workshop must be attended by the individual who is registered; attendance cannot be substituted. Only registered attendees are allowed to attend the workshop virtually or in-person.
- Registrants who do not attend the workshop will not receive a certificate of completion and will be required to register for a future workshop date to meet the attendance requirement.
- If a registrant is unable to attend the workshop, you may transfer the registration to a colleague within the school or reschedule for a future workshop offering. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Facilitators
Maria Baltar is the Senior Manager of Accreditation at AACSB International, where she manages a portfolio of 200 schools across the Americas. In this role, she provides guidance and support on all matters related to accreditation processes and standards. Maria also serves as the staff liaison to the Continuous Improvement Review Committee (CIRC) and the Accounting Accreditation Committee (AAC). Before joining AACSB, Maria held various accounting and finance roles in the hospitality and IT distribution industries. Maria earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Tampa.
Valdas supports a portfolio of business schools across the EMEA region, including institutions pursuing initial AACSB accreditation as well as those undergoing the Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) process. In this role, he provides guidance on accreditation standards and processes through in-depth reviews of school documentation and ongoing advisory support. Prior to joining AACSB, Valdas spent approximately 18 years in higher education, where he oversaw student recruitment and admissions, led ed-tech enhancement initiatives, and managed online learning design projects across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
