As the Research and Thought Leadership Manageryou will be responsible for advancing AACSB's thought leadership, advocacy, and strategic initiatives by leading research efforts that are deeply informed by market and regional needs and trends. By gathering and interpreting industry intelligence and data, you will contribute to enhancing AACSB member value and informing the organization's strategic plan.

How You Will Contribute

  • Research and Insights Gathering: Conducts comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, best practices, and opportunities, utilizing a variety of data sources and methods, including the designing, administering, and analyzing of surveys, leading focus groups, performing competitive analyses, and reviewing market/industry reports, etc.
  • Analysis: Works with internal and external partners to collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights for key stakeholders.
  • Environmental Scanning: Supports thought leadership initiatives, as well as internal and external requests on industry developments and emerging trends, by collecting, synthesizing, and systematically tracking developments pertinent to the industry.
  • Communication: Develops presentations, briefings, position papers, research and trend reports, and insight pieces aligned with organizational thought leadership and advocacy goals.
  • Project Management: Oversees timelines, allocate resources, manage external vendors and partners, and ensure deadlines are met for research and thought leadership projects.
  • Editorial Support: Supports the organization's advocacy and thought leadership framework and monthly content themes by serving on AACSB's editorial planning team to align research findings with planned content

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing or a related field of study
  • Intermediate proficiency with survey platforms, including Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey for market research.
  • Demonstrated competency to understand, interpret, and analyze data and summarize insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Demonstrated experience with basic qualitative and quantitative research methods, including focus groups, interviews, and competitive analyses.
  • Intermediate competency in creating compelling reports, position papers, and presentations using Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or similar (samples may be requested).
  • Intermediate proficiency with data visualization tools, including Tableau or PowerBI.

As the Membership and Administrative Specialist, you will oversee the general administrative function and activities of the EMEA office and will be responsible for membership activities.

How You Will Contribute

  • Provides clerical support when needed to assist clerical staff with assigned administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, processing invoices, and preparing documents.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies; orders new supplies as needed. 
  • Support international shipments and requirements as determined by Membership, Accreditation, and Marketing functions in the EMEA Office.
  • Maintains office files; implements an efficient system for other staff to access files and records.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement in collaboration with the Director of Facilities and Administration as needed.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments. 
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; and identifying trends.
  • Supports EMEA Managing Director in a Professional Assistant role.
  • Achieves financial objectives by supporting the Managing Director and preparing an annual EMEA operating and office budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Maintaining quarterly EMEA budget updates and performance to plan.
  • When necessary, responds to queries and interacts with Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, KVK and/or Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce and Dutch Registry Smart Portal and other vendors. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Administration, interacts with local insurance provider and maintains/reviews general liability and office contracts.
  • Ongoing interaction with UP Building and commercial real estate firm CBRE in Amsterdam. Participates in lease negotiations with the Director of Facilities and Administration.
  • Assumes primary ERO (emergency response officer) role for the EMEA Office. Training will be provided.
  • Manages local life-safety policies as well as communication alerts through the Alert Media portal.
  • Confer with Human Resources as needed to provide assistance with HR matters and inquiries related to the EMEA Office.
  • Keeps membership data in the CRM system updated.
  • Prepares presentations and marketing materials relating to AACSB International to be used during outreach activities and external events.
  • Receives and converts incoming inquiries to new memberships to increase the membership base and engagement with members of AACSB International.
  • Engages with prospective members and existing members through various media appropriate to stakeholder needs, including direct conversation, video conferencing, phone, and social media.
    Focuses on member recruitment through proactive outreach activities. Research and targets specific countries and/or regions for membership growth, outreach, and support activities.
  • Performs duties in accordance with AACSB International’s Mission and Values.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Dutch and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel or related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in any concentration.

As the Accreditation and Member Services Manager you will convey the value of AACSB accreditation and member services to business schools worldwide and assist schools with their continuous development and achievement of overall high quality. This role has a focus on schools in the Asia Pacific (AP) region.

The position is best suited for candidates who enjoy building successful member relationships and have strong analytical and writing skills most beneficial for accreditation-related work. The ideal candidate will be interested in being part of a multi-cultural team and interacting with members from many different backgrounds.

How You Will Contribute

  • Acts as staff liaison for accredited schools and those in the initial accreditation process, working in close coordination with mentors and peer review teams.
  • Develops and supports quality assurance strategies for member schools in Asia Pacific to ensure quality throughout the accreditation process.
  • Actively participates in industry-related activities, and promotes AACSB accreditation and member services at internal and external events, workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Facilitates the movement of appropriate member schools into the accreditation process.
  • Reviews and analyzes accreditation eligibility applications and school documentation.
  • Supports schoolwork during initial and continuous improvement review accreditation processes.
  • Serves as a resource for accreditation committee members in preparation of and during committee meetings.
  • Actively supports the recruiting and engagement with new educational and business members in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Involved with providing member value to AACSB members.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the higher education landscape and developments in assigned geographical areas.
  • Provides staff support for regional advisory councils.
  • Participates occasionally in co-delivering AACSB seminars and/or workshops.

As the Membership Coordinator – East Asia, a member of the Asia Pacific Office and Global Membership Team (GMT), you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Regional Head of East Asia and supporting membership initiatives in the East Asian Region.

An ideal candidate for this role would possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management. They should demonstrate proficiency in office software, possess exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), and be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability, resourcefulness, and a customer-oriented approach are also crucial qualities for this role.

How You Will Contribute:

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Makes travel arrangements for the Regional Head of East Asia and for Executive team members who visit East Asia.
  • Prepares and submits reports in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates appropriate internal and external appointments in collaboration with others.
  • Prepares presentations and marketing materials relating to AACSB International to be used during outreach activities and external events.
  • Supports the administration of the AACSB WeChat account.
  • Provides administrative support to the local office set-up and operations.

Member Services and Engagement

  • Keeps membership data in the CRM system updated and tracks records.

  • Engages with prospective members and existing members through various media appropriate to stakeholder needs, including direct conversation, video conferencing, phone, and social media.
  • Supports member recruitment through proactive outreach activities. Researches and explores specific countries and/or regions for membership growth, outreach, and support activities.
  • Supports member invoicing and dues renewal efforts for the East Asia region by working closely with GMT operations.
  • Supports the development and implementation of revenue-generating activities in East Asia.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, relevant experience with CRM and software applications relevant to the position
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese language
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience (i.e. related experience in process/operation optimization, advisory, and/or credential business.)
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • International travel 1-2 times per year may also be required for this position
