The Research Fellow plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational thought leadership and strategic priorities through the design, delivery, critical evaluation, and dissemination of high-quality research. The post holder demonstrates robust research expertise, applies appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies, critically assesses research findings, and produces high-quality outputs suitable for publication and dissemination across AACSB’s thought leadership and content channel  The role actively advances AACSB’s global thought leadership by driving research engagement, fostering knowledge exchange across its member network, and generating demonstrable impact that informs business education and its stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, lead, and implement qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research aligned with strategic and thought leadership priorities, ensuring methodological rigor, ethical integrity, validity, and reliability.
  2. Develop and apply appropriate research methodologies and instruments, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and literature reviews, situating research within relevant academic, professional, and policy contexts.
  3. Analyze complex data sets using advanced analytical techniques and synthesize evidence from multiple sources to generate defensible, actionable insights.
  4. Evaluate research findings and translate results into insights that inform organizational strategy, policy development, and sector-wide practice.
  5. Produce high-quality research-informed outputs—including reports, white papers, briefing papers, and articles—written suitable for publication and dissemination across AACSB’s thought leadership and content channels.
  6. Communicate complex research findings clearly and effectively to academic, professional, and industry audiences.
  7. Support research engagement and knowledge exchange through workshops, consultations, webinars, and collaborative initiatives that extend research impact beyond academia.
  8. Conduct environmental and horizon scanning to identify emerging issues, inform future research themes, and contribute to organizational thought leadership.
  9. Manage research projects from concept through dissemination, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary and international teams.
  10. Contribute to research proposals, partnership development, and the adoption of emerging research methods, analytical tools, and responsible AI-enabled technologies.

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline or research focused field where research was a core component.
  2. Proficiency in using data analysis tools, survey platforms, and data visualization tools (e.g., dashboards) to support data collection, analysis, and the effective communication of insights. 
  3. At least 8 years demonstrated experience in research, conducting independent, high-quality research, including the design, execution, and critical evaluation of research projects. This experience should also include working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including engagement with globally situated partners and stakeholders. 
  4. Advanced subject knowledge and strong research skills in a relevant discipline, with evidence of the ability to make original and independent contributions.
  5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to organize, interpret, analyze, and report on complex qualitative and quantitative data, and critically assess research findings.
  6. Advanced writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling, evidence-informed content and insights for diverse audiences and for publication across multiple channels.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline or research focused field where research was a core component.
  2.  Experience producing publications in peer-reviewed journals, or equivalent high-quality outputs in professional, policy, or practitioner-focused media
