Research Impact Conference
Conference Overview
This first-ever dedicated research conference is a collaborative initiative between AACSB and the Academy of Management (AOM), hosted at the UCD College of Business, 26–27 May 2026 in Dublin, Ireland. Through engaging discussions, practical examples, and shared learning, participants will explore how management research can inform organizations, influence policy, and respond to pressing societal challenges across business education landscapes.
This event will also feature the awaited release of the Framework for Research Impact. Developed by the Global Research Impact Task Force and aligned with the AACSB Global Standards for Business Education™, this report calls for a broader and more intentional approach to research impact in business education—one that recognizes contributions not only to academic knowledge but also to practice, policy, education, and society.
Conference Objective: To advance a shared and expanded understanding of research impact, highlight innovative initiatives and leading practices across business schools, and create a forum where deans, researchers, journals, funders, industry leaders, and policymakers can explore how business school research can generate greater impact for society and practice.
