Global Research Impact Task Force
AACSB is reimagining the impact of business school research—rethinking how it creates value for academia, business, government, and society. Through collective dialogue and action, the Global Research Impact Task Force aims to transform the role of research in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
About the Task Force
The Global Research Impact Task Force is a multistakeholder, cross-disciplinary initiative launched by AACSB in partnership with nine leading scholarly societies. Its mission is to advance the evolving role of business research by building a new, more inclusive framework for evaluating and supporting research impact.
Key Objectives
- Expand the definition of research impact beyond traditional scholarly metrics.
- Identify principles for measurement that reflect meaningful conceptual, theoretical, and empirical contributions.
- Provide business schools and the disciplines within them with the flexibility to determine incentives designed to facilitate and motivate evidence-based impact.
- Ensure that research impact considers multiple stakeholders, including academia, industry, policymakers, and society.
