Two new appointments demonstrate a commitment to quality business education globally.

Tampa, Fla., USA (May 4, 2021)—AACSB International (AACSB) announces two new staff appointments in East and South Asia to further enhance AACSB’s growth and leadership of quality business education in the region.

Guodong Xu will serve as regional head of East Asia, and Amy Memon will serve as regional head of South Asia, increasing accessibility and support for AACSB's business and educational members in a rapidly changing higher education environment. Xu and Memon will work in close coordination with Geoff Perry, chief officer of Asia Pacific at AACSB.

Memon enters this new role following nearly 17 years at AACSB, including the last 10 in South Asia. This new appointment aligns Memon's knowledge of and dedication to the region with her deep experience in business education, including roles in member engagement and accreditation guidance. Memon is based out of Mumbai, India.

Xu also brings deep connections to and knowledge of business education in Asia Pacific to this new position. He joins AACSB from recent roles at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, as China principal counselor, and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, as market director for China. His experience also includes leadership positions within MBA programs at two AACSB-accredited schools in China. Xu is based out of Shanghai, China.

“The newly appointed regional head roles will allow AACSB to offer an unparalleled amount of support to accredited and member schools throughout East and South Asia,” said Geoff Perry, chief officer of Asia Pacific at AACSB. “Guodong’s and Amy’s qualifications align perfectly with AACSB's efforts to empower business schools to create positive societal impact.”
