AACSB International Announces Global Search for Chief Standards and Accreditation Officer

AACSB International today announced that Stephanie Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer, will retire at the end of June 2027. AACSB is launching a global search for an EVP and Chief Standards and Accreditation Officer. 

During her tenure at AACSB, Bryant led some of the most consequential developments in AACSB’s accreditation history, including the adoption of the 2018 accounting accreditation standards and the 2020 business accreditation standards. Most recently, she led the strategic launch of the Global Standards for Business Education™, extending AACSB’s guidance and support across the broader business education ecosystem. 

“I have had the privilege of working with Stephanie for more than three years and have seen firsthand her unwavering commitment to AACSB and our members,” said Lily Bi, president and CEO of AACSB. “Her extraordinary contributions—and the trust and relationships she has built across our global community—will have a lasting impact on AACSB and business education.”

Bryant will remain fully engaged in her role through June 2027 to ensure a deliberate and orderly transition. Accreditation operations, decisions, and service to member schools will continue without interruption throughout the process. 

This transition also allows us to evolve the role. The EVP and Chief Standards and Accreditation Officer will lead global standards-setting while integrating accreditation strategy, implementation, innovation, and membership engagement into a single global mandate — protecting the credibility and rigor of accreditation while enabling greater relevance and global applicability.
