Please register for each meeting below you would like to join. Networking Community Meetings are free and do not require a registration to the full event. To access the Networking Community Meetings on December 7, please click HERE and select “Networking Community Attendee” and follow the prompts to join the event. These meetings will appear under the “sessions”, five minutes prior to the start of each meeting.

Please note that unless you are registered for the Global Diversity and Inclusion Summit, you will not have access to summit sessions including keynote presentations and speed networking. Those registered for the summit will receive a link to access all conference sessions, including Networking Community Meetings.

Online Learning Affinity Group Meeting

The Online Learning Affinity Group aims to be a highly participative forum for sharing ideas and expertise on various issues and topics in online and blended learning. In this session, we will host a facilitated discussion on topics of online learning and diversity and inclusion. The session will include a breakout discussion, with the following topic choices:

Inclusive teaching online (facilitated by Tawnya Means)

  • The role of technology
  • Inclusive teaching practices
  • Building community and a sense of belonging

Accessibility for online students (facilitated by Renee Ford)

  • Universal design to support course development and delivery
  • Accommodating student needs
  • Tips and strategies for students with learning differences

Student success for diverse student populations (facilitated by Lucian Tipi)

  • Is online an enabler or not?
  • What is the future for education for diverse populations
  • Student-centered teaching
