This workshop explores how a single class session can generate meaningful evidence of learning in a way that is practical for faculty and relevant to Assurance of Learning (AoL). Framed within outcomes-based education and continuous improvement, it shows how a short experiential activity can be embedded into an existing course without requiring curriculum redesign or broader program restructuring. For deans, academic leaders, and accreditation stakeholders, the session offers practical takeaways on embedding short experiential activities, identifying observable learning signals, translating classroom activity into credible AoL-relevant evidence, and scaling the same approach across disciplines, class sizes, and learning contexts. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop for the hands-on portion of the workshop.

All conference attendees are welcome to attend this workshop and are encouraged to pre-register. Please register here.

Effective strategic planning requires more than a mission statement—it requires a modern toolkit that helps institutions analyze their environment, clarify priorities, and translate strategy into action. This session introduces participants to what a contemporary strategic planning stack looks like for business schools, highlighting tools such as PESTLE analysis to understand external forces, the Business Model Canvas to examine value creation, and disruptive mapping to identify emerging threats and opportunities, culminating in SWOT analysis to synthesize insights and guide strategic direction. The session will also explore how AI-enabled tools can enhance environmental scanning, scenario planning, and strategic insight generation, equipping participants with practical approaches for building a more dynamic, data-informed strategic planning process that supports institutional differentiation, innovation, and long-term impact. Finally, this session will discuss key elements of bridging the gap between strategic planning and implementation to ensure success.

Business schools across Asia are rapidly experimenting with AI to enhance teaching and learning. Yet the greater challenge is not technology adoption but encouraging faculty engagement and cultivating student self-directed learning in traditionally lecture-centered environments. This session examines how AI can support a transition toward more interactive, student-centered pedagogy in Asian business schools. Drawing on emerging practices from the region, the discussion will explore cultural and institutional barriers to faculty participation and share practical approaches for integrating AI into course design to strengthen active learning, critical thinking, and classroom engagement.
