This seminar will take place in Suite 100 at AACSB International in Tampa, Florida. The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. November 29 and concludes at 4:00 p.m. November 30. 

Focus on each accreditation standard and the accreditation process in this engaging seminar. Examine methods to create an effective plan of action for your school and learn what is important and expected at each stage of the accreditation process through group interactions, breakout sessions, and expert facilitation.

Focusing on the 2020 AACSB Accreditation Standards, the seminar will provide you with the knowledge and resources to avoid common challenges in the accreditation process.

Learn through peer interactions and conversations with expert facilitators as you discover how your school can use the accreditation process to embody continuous improvement through engagement, innovation, and impact.

Learning Objectives

  • Discover the purpose and philosophy of accreditation and the AACSB guiding principles
  • Review the nine 2020 AACSB Standards in depth to understand how they build on each other and assure quality at the school
  • Learn the importance of quality and continuous improvement, supported by engagement, innovation and impact
  • Gain an understanding of the initial and continuous improvement review processes
  • Build a network of peers and have an opportunity to ask questions 

Facilitators

Linda Hadley, Columbus State University

Dr. Linda U. Hadley is the Dean Emeritus of the Turner College of Business at Columbus State University and holds the Bill Heard endowed chair in Finance. She earned a B.A. in economics from Mount Holyoke College, an M.B.A. from Columbus State University, and a Ph.D. in financial economics from Auburn University. Dr. Hadley has also completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University. Starting her career at CSU in 1992 as an assistant professor, she has been recognized for her contributions in teaching, administration and service. Dr. Hadley has been awarded the Turner College's Excellence in Teaching and Faculty Service Awards. In 2005, she was awarded Columbus State University's Distinguished Alumnus Award. She is a member of the Columbus Rotary Club and serves on the boards of Synovus-Columbus Bank and Trust, Brookstone School and AACSB International.

Suzanne Mintz, AACSB International

Suzanne Mintz serves as Vice President, Accreditation at AACSB International. In her role she has responsibility for the performance of AACSB’s global accreditation team and leads the development and implementation of strategic and operational accreditation initiatives in support of the AACSB mission. She is responsible for overseeing strategic partnerships with other accreditation bodies, and oversees the management of AACSB’s volunteer network globally, including training, engagement and recognition strategies for AACSB’s volunteers. Prior to joining AACSB, Mintz worked in corporate training and development in the financial services industry, responsible for overseeing the implementation of sales and management development programs. She holds an MBA in finance and management from the University of South Florida in Tampa and is a certified Project Management Professional.
