In collaboration with its member institutions and organizations globally, AACSB celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

Tampa, Fla., USA (November 12, 2018)—Students, parents, and alumni. Colleges, universities, and faculty. Business professionals, service-learning apprentices, and volunteers. Individually each are impactful in their own right, but collectively, what do they have in common? Today, along with AACSB International, thousands are celebrating their appreciation of knowledge, cultures, and viewpoints during the 2018 International Education Week (IEW).

Held November 12–16, 2018, IEW is a joint initiative organized by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. By recognizing and celebrating the benefits of international education or exchange, the movement promotes programs that prepare graduates for a global environment by encouraging future leaders to study and learn abroad.

“For AACSB, IEW embodies how cultural understanding can bring together people from diverse backgrounds, introducing students, parents, faculty, and ultimately business to new ideas and differing perspectives,” said Tom Robinson, president and CEO of AACSB International. “By empowering students to recognize and reflect on our interconnected nature, schools openly nurture conversations that bring forth a new generation of globally minded business leaders who are focused on establishing pathways to global prosperity.”

Join AACSB this week on Facebook and Twitter as we celebrate how accredited and non-accredited academic members of AACSB's Business Education Alliance are encouraging the concept of international education through the following themes:

  • Monday, November 12: Business education is a force for good
  • Tuesday, November 13: AACSB Accreditation as a symbol of global quality and innovation
  • Wednesday, November 14: The Business Education Alliance is a movement of collective strength and connected wisdom
  • Thursday, November 15: Business education provides a foundation for success
  • Friday, November 16: Business education prepares future business leaders for tomorrow's workforce

As a global organization, AACSB celebrates a variety of formats and foundations of education that prepare graduates to seek knowledge through global experiences and studying abroad, no matter where it takes them. By empowering educators to embrace international viewpoints and establish collaborative relationships, AACSB helps to amplify the positive impact that business schools have around the world.
