SherifKamel is a Professor of Management at The American University in Cairo. Before joining AUC, he served as the Director of the Regional IT Institute and managed the training department of the Cabinet of Egypt Information and Decision Support Center. He consults with government organizations and corporations, addressing organizational transformation, executive development, IT,management and strategy. He was a guest lecturer, and taught degree and non-degree programs for numerous universities across Europe and North America. He was invited as a panelist/speaker on a variety of policy issues including Asia-Middle East Dialogue, EBRD, European Foundation for Management Development, the Middle East Institute, the International MonetaryFund and the World Bank. He has wona number of organizational leadership awards for serving the IT community from Conf-IRM (Canada), Cabinet of Egypt and IRMA (USA).
Sherifholds a PhD in information systems from London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition, Kamel is an Eisenhower Fellow and a Center for Global Enterprise Fellow. He is a member of the AACSB International Middle East Advisory Council andEduniversal International Scientific Committee. He was a member of the World Bank Knowledge Advisory Commission and founding member of the Internet Society of Egypt. He was a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Canada).
