The School of Management, founded in the university in 1928, is the earliest management school in the universities of the county. It is also the first one in awarding doctoral degree in the field of management engineering and the first one to build a post-doctoral station. It is also among the first group of universities in trial institutes in building a MBA program.
The School of Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University has established a worldwide relation in academic exchange and cooperation with other universities in the world. The School has taken part in joint research programs in management education between China and Canada. The school has been engaged in academic research programs between the universities of Alberta, Calgary, Waterloo and others for more than 10 years.
