The CBA educates a diverse, predominantly urban student body—including from the New Orleans area—in Business, Computer Information Systems, and Public Administration. We provide the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation for success in business, entrepreneurship, government, and advanced studies, while promoting research that enhances teaching, regional innovation, and global awareness.

The Southern University at New Orleans College of Business & Public Administration (CBA) welcomes students ready to pursue opportunity, innovation, and professional growth. The College prepares students to excel in Business, Computer Technology, and Public Administration, offering rigorous programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world experience. Students develop critical thinking, leadership, technological proficiency, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for success in today’s competitive workforce.

The College proudly holds AACSB accreditation, a distinction earned by fewer than six percent of business schools worldwide. Students learn in a state-of-the-art environment supported by dedicated, student-focused faculty who provide mentorship, professional guidance, and personalized instruction. Smaller class sizes foster engagement, collaborative learning, and strong professional relationships that enhance student success and career readiness.

Located near Lake Pontchartrain and minutes from downtown New Orleans, the College offers access to one of the most culturally vibrant and economically dynamic cities in the world. New Orleans provides valuable internship, networking, and career opportunities across business, technology, government, and nonprofit sectors.

The College promotes entrepreneurship through experiential learning, including the Small Business Development & Management Institute, which provides training, mentorship, and resources. During CBA Week, student entrepreneurs showcase their businesses, expand networks, engage with the community, and gain hands-on experience. Computer Information Systems programs, including the MS-CIS graduate program, offer study in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics. CBA graduates are employed in many local and national organizations, and many have become successful entrepreneurs, reflecting the College’s commitment to preparing leaders for diverse careers.
