ESC Clermont Business School

Founded in 2019, ESC Clermont Business School (BS) is an independent private non-for-profit organization, currently comprising a teaching body of 53 core research faculty, 204 adjunct faculty (academics and professional practitioners), supported by 107 administrative staff. The School has an in-house Alumni Association and Foundation, created in 1920 and 2016 respectively. It also houses an open incubator (the ‘SquareLab’) and runs an educational socio-professional reintegration scheme via a Second Chance School (‘E2C’), in accordance with its social openness and equal opportunities policy. 

ESC Clermont BS offers a diverse portfolio of general management training programmes at various levels, from pre-experience undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (Bachelor, Master, MSc.), an expanding Executive Education offer including an Executive Bachelor, a Specialized Master and a post-experience Master degree programme (MBA), and finally international [degree] programmes ran in France and/or abroad (Masters in International Business (MIBs) and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). All ESC Clermont BS research activities and training programmes are structured around the School’s central focus of ‘Innovation in Management – Sustainable Management’, and 10 study streams split into 3 focus sectors (Sport Business, Retail Management & Sustainable Mobility) and 7 focus professions (Business Development; Digital Marketing; Human Resources and Managerial Transformation; Financial Engineering & Innovation and Banking; Financial Auditing, Expertise & Consultancy; Innovation creation & Entrepreneurship; Business Intelligence & Analysis). Programmes either integrate to varying degrees (20-50%), or are 100% dedicated, to transversal components such as entre/intrapreneurship, ERS and other more specific issues impacting contemporary business management today (ecology/climate change & transition). The School’s global programme portfolio offers a high focus on personal development and modularity so that learners can create unique academic pathways adapted to their specific needs and career aspirations.

As an independent business school, ESC Clermont operates within a highly collaborative academic and corporate ecosystem, adopting a collective intelligence approach to aid the development of higher education, research, innovation and entre/intrapreneurship in and around Clermont-Ferrand, enhancing the territory’s attractiveness and impact both in France and internationally. This global dynamic between territorial higher educational institutions has led to the mutualization of many actions and services (Business Forum for example), and the setting up of bilateral research/pedagogical collaborations, exchanges of best practices and second-degree agreements/dual competencies opportunities (with the Engineering School group ‘Clermont Auvergne INP’ for example).
