We are a global community, with 67% of our students from over 100 countries and 81% of faculty from 39 nations. We have 37,500 alumni, including 4,300 MBA graduates from 98 countries, all contributing to our profound impact across various industries and regions.

Through our 14 research centres we align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, tackling global challenges and developing real-world applications. With expertise in finance, sustainability, and leadership, 88% of our research is rated as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally outstanding’ (REF 2021). We shape industries worldwide while driving innovation and growth in the North East.

Sustainability is central to our mission. Aligned with Durham University’s Net Zero 2035 goal, we integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our research, teaching, and operations. In 2023-24, 15% of our published research focused on sustainability reflecting our commitment to transformative research.
