Ron Tuninga

Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa

Ronald (Ron) Tuninga is an international, innovative, and entrepreneurial leader with expertise in both the public and private sectors in higher education. He has been a successful dean in three European countries and has experience in developing and running graduate and undergraduate programs on five continents, across 35 countries. He has in-depth knowledge of the European, Middle Eastern, and African higher education systems and has been actively involved as a volunteer in various international accreditation organizations, including AACSB, EFMD, and AMBA.

Tuninga is the former vice president of academic affairs at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, pro vice chancellor of enterprise and dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Kingston University London, and dean at AVT Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark. Furthermore, he was the former director dean at the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. His PhD is from Temple University in Philadelphia, USA. Tuninga holds an MA in economics, an MBA in international business, and an MSc in marketing.

His research publications have appeared in more than 70 journals and proceedings of international conferences. He has been involved in international projects funded by the Dutch government, World Bank, European Union, United Nations, and other international organizations. From 2007 to 2009 he also served as president of the International Management Development Association.
