Anthony is an academic in the Accounting and Financial Management department.
His area of teaching is financial accounting and corporate governance.
He is currently the Director of Accreditation within the Business School.
Anthony is co-chair of the UK and Ireland Accreditation group, who
represent the interests of business schools in the region, to major accreditors.
Anthony’s PhD is in Family Business and Governance.
His research interests include governance, values, education, innovation,
entrepreneurship and accounting. He is currently involved with a number of
professional organisations including the Family Firm Institute as a GEN faculty member,
AACSB as a global trainer for Assurance of Learning, he is on the board
of New Writing North (a creative writing charity in the Northeast of England).
Prof. Peter McNamara
Head and Professor of Management
Peter McNamara is the Head of the School of Business at Maynooth University
and Professor of Management. Since 2014 he has led a team of faculty and staff
who have redesigned or launched 9 undergraduate programmes and 7 MSc programmes,
focused on improving the quality of education. Our strategic planning process is rooted
in a shared mission and values, including a pivot to research informed, practice engaged
education, leading to hiring that tripled faculty numbers and increased student numbers by 90%.
Previously, Peter served as the Academic Director of MSc Programmes and Director of
the PhD at the AACSB accredited UCD, Ireland, which included strategic and operational
reviews of programmes. He has served as a Chairperson of the MED Division of
the Academy of Management. His research is focused on innovation, careers
and business school strategy and he has published in journals such as AMLE, JIPM,
Journal of World Business, Journal of Management, Research Policy, amongst others.
