Kimberly Lane, PhD
Dr. Kimberly Lane is a Health Education Specialist serving on the Community Integration and At-Risk Task Force within CDC’s COVID-19 response. Dr. Lane has extensive experiencing working with state health departments, education agencies, and local school districts. Dr. Lane works in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity within CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP).
Lisa Koonin, DrPH, MN, MPH
Dr. Lisa Koonin founded Health Preparedness Partners, LLC after her 30+ year career with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). During that time, she led the development of national pandemic influenza preparedness and response plans and policies and served in leadership positions for multiple national and international emergency responses (e.g., 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic, 2013 H7N9 avian influenza, 2014 Ebola, 2016 Zika). In January 2020, she was activated by the CDC’s Emergency Operations Center during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response to provide expert advice to CDC’s Incident Management leadership.
Tim Mescon, PhD
Timothy S. Mescon is Executive Vice President and Chief Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for AACSB International. He is President Emeritus of Columbus State University (Georgia) where he served from 2008-2014. Previously, he served as Dean and Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair for 18 years at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Mescon gained extensive experience as an AACSB peer review team member, chair, and committee member for 25 years before joining AACSB. He is the author of more than 200 articles and case studies, and he has co-authored four books, his latest Entrepreneurship: Venture Initiation, Management and Development 2nd edition (Routledge/M.E. Sharpe). Mescon received his PhD from the Terry College at The University of Georgia, MBA from the Cox School at Southern Methodist University and BA from Tulane University.
