The Faculty Standards and Tables Workshop is designed to explore the faculty-related business accreditation standards in depth, as well as provide instruction on completing the AACSB tables (2-1, 15-1, and 15-2). Faculty resources, including sufficient and qualified faculty, are crucial elements of a successful business school as well as an important part of AACSB Accreditation.
Using concrete examples, attendees will gain hands-on experience with calculating and reporting faculty intellectual contributions, sufficiency, qualifications, engagement and deployment of faculty. Best practices on how to align with the standards through effective faculty management and development plans will also be shared and discussed.
Attendees are encouraged to bring faculty-related data from their own institution as one of the sessions will include completing the tables with your school’s information.
- Interpret AACSB accreditation standards related to faculty and research—in particular standards 2, 5, 6, and 15—and apply them to your school.
- Align research and faculty management policies with related standards and empower faculty to contribute to establishing and achieving the school’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Learn best practices and innovative examples from other schools in the context of accreditation.
- Build a peer support network.

Data-Driven Solutions with DataDirect, April 4, 2019, 8:30 – 11:30 am. (The Engagement, Innovation, and Impact Seminar will begin at noon on April 4)
Description: On a daily basis, business school administrators must make major decisions that are vital to aligning operations with the school’s strategic plan and goals. In the modern world of business education, data-driven decisions prove to be the most successful in the long-term. Attendees of this seminar will gain hands-on experience with using data to inform decision-making by tackling real examples of decision-making related to salary negotiations, degree program planning, accreditation, marketing needs, potential collaborations, finances, and other strategic questions faced by business school administrators.

Using real life scenarios gleaned from attendees’ requests, along with frequently asked strategic planning questions, formulate and present strategic solutions using DataDirect benchmarking tools.
