Dr. Erich Dierdorff is a Professor of Management in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University. Inside the university, he is an award-winning instructor at both the graduate and undergraduate levels of business education. Outside the university, Dr. Dierdorff has helped a wide variety of organizations to more effectively leverage their human capital through overall process redesigns, individual development and coaching, and evidence-based interventions using data science and analytics. Dr. Dierdorff’s research aims to understand the factors that drive the effectiveness of individual- and team-level learning, as well as determining the most effective practices for work analysis, work design, work performance, and leadership effectiveness. This research has appeared in leading journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, and The Leadership Quarterly, among others. Dr. Dierdorff has additionally contributed to industry and press outlets such as Harvard Business Review, BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Chronicle of Higher Education, and Washington Post.

Matthew Shell is the Market Development Manager at Capsim Management Simulations where he assists both institutions and individuals in the academic and corporate markets with creating custom day-in-the-life simulations with the CapsimInbox Authoring Platform. Over the last few years, Matt has worked with dozens of professors from around the globe to create learning simulations for a variety of business areas such as Cultural Awareness, Human Resources, and Strategic Marketing. He also the co-author of CapsimInbox: Escape Room. Matt received his Masters of Business Administration and Baccalaureate degree in Psychology from Purdue University Northwest.
