This seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. on day one and conclude at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on day two. 

Continuous improvement within a business school requires a commitment to establishing a sense of community within a school's learning environment. For the department chair, the challenge is to foster productive change while still being able to support and satisfy the faculty and student needs. This seminar explores ways to accomplish change that incorporates the talents of new and diverse faculty while still valuing mid-career and senior faculty. It also explores ways to increase teaching effectiveness, improve productivity, and resolve conflict.

Nelson_AlinoNelson Alino, Wigwe University

Professor Nelson Uzoechi-Uzoma Alino is one of the founding Deputy Vice Chancellor/Dean at Wigwe University. Prior to joining Wigwe University, Nelson held the esteemed position of William S. Perlroth Professor of Accounting and Taxation at Quinnipiac University. During his last eight years at Quinnipiac, he served as the Interim Associate Dean, Department Chair, and Director of the MSA program. Professor Alino received several awards and nominations for his teaching and research. His leadership and dedication to innovation were instrumental in achieving a separate AACSB accreditation for the Accounting Program at Quinnipiac University. He is also responsible for initiating the highly acclaimed Volunteer Income Tax (VITA) program at the university. It is worth mentioning that Professor Alino possesses an impressive array of professional licenses. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the USA, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in Nigeria, and a Certified Forensic Accountant (CRFAC®️) in the USA. These licenses highlight his expertise and proficiency in the fields of accounting and forensic accounting.

Erica_AnthonyErica Anthony, Morgan State University

Erica Anthony is an Associate Professor of Management and Chair of the Department of Business Administration. Prior to joining Morgan State University, she worked in various roles at the telecommunications corporation, Sprint, and as a Systems Engineer for Honeywell. These experiences heightened her fondness for business and understanding the interactions facilitated within organizations. This adoration led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior Human Resources from Purdue University. In addition to her doctoral degree, she also holds a MBA from University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. Furthermore, she is a Certified Personal & Executive Coach earned through the International Coach Federation (ICF)-Accredited Coach Training Program, College of Executive Coaching. Dr. Anthony is a member of the PhD Project, ICF, Southern Management Association, and the Academy of Management (AoM).
