Agenda:
We will discuss the biggest challenges facing the group, including issues of faculty buy-in, tenure roadblocks, common areas needing improvement and more. Invited speakers/guests will present 3 cases on curricular innovation in different contexts.
We will reflect and discuss the conditions and process required for changing curriculum at our individual institutions—what is your organization doing well? What needs attention and improvement? What are your roadblocks? What does the iterative process look like? Who should be on your committee? How do you get the committee to work together and what do you need them to accomplish?
Participants will draft an individualized Curriculum Review Process Plan, guided by the facilitators, which they can take back to their institution. Facilitators will help participants understand their own structures, such as budget models, class replacements, and reluctance one may encounter along the way.
Participants will expand upon additional key questions to further develop a robust, individualized Curriculum Review Process Plan.
We will discuss lessons learned from the day and report out unique challenges encountered while drafting individualized review plan. Participants will discuss their key takeaways.
We will discuss what industry needs from today’s b-school, what students expect, and how to best stay responsive to the demands. We will discuss what topics are trending, including new programs and partnerships. Deloitte will present their findings of what granular skills today’s employers are seeking from graduates.
We will wrap up with a discussion focused on the tangible tools and next steps needed to drive innovation and keep the momentum for curriculum innovation at your institution.
