Designed for accredited schools, the Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) Seminar will prepare your administrators for the CIR process from the first year of the cycle to the CIR visit. AACSB recommends that you attend this seminar two years before a scheduled visit.
Engage in interactive discussions on the foundation of accreditation and review the philosophy of the principles-based 2020 accreditation standards with your peers, giving particular focus to changes in the standards. Explore the CIR philosophy and each component of the CIR report from the lens of your school, and examine how your school’s strategies and outcomes relate to engagement, innovation, and impact.

Tim Mescon, AACSB International
Timothy S. Mescon is executive vice president and chief officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for AACSB International. He is president emeritus of Columbus State University (Georgia) where he served from 2008-2014. Previously, he served as dean and Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair for 18 years at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Mescon gained extensive experience as an AACSB peer review team member, chair, and committee member for 25 years before joining AACSB. He is the author of more than 200 articles and case studies, and he has co-authored four books, his latest "Entrepreneurship: Venture Initiation, Management and Development" 2nd edition (Routledge/M.E. Sharpe). Mescon received his PhD from the Terry College at The University of Georgia, MBA from the Cox School at Southern Methodist University and BA from Tulane University.
Ihsan Zakri, AACSB International
Ihsan Zakri is manager, Accreditation and Member Services at AACSB International. At AACSB he works with both the Executive vice president/Chief Officer Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Chief Accreditation officer to develop and implement integrated accreditation and member service and engagement initiatives in the EMEA region. He serves as a staff liaison for over 160 schools in EMEA region. Ihsan has an international background in higher education, program and Institutional accreditation and course and program development. He gained extensive experience in accreditation and EU funded projects before joining AACSB. Ihsan has earned a Master’s degree in Social Sciences with a concentration on the Middle East from Lund University, Sweden.
