Alex Newman,
Associate Dean International, Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University and Professor of Management, Deakin Business School

Alex Newman is Associate Dean International for the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University and Professor of Management at Deakin Business School. He is also Chair of the Australian Business Deans Council's International Network. He has published widely on the topics of leadership, organizational psychology and entrepreneurship.Prior to joining Deakin, Alex worked at Monash University as well as in both China and Japan, and previously taught at Nottingham University Business School in Ningbo China. He conducts research in the areas of organizational behaviour, leadership and entrepreneurship. His research has been published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, the Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice.





Kerrie Bridson,
Associate Dean Quality Standards and Accreditation, Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University and Associate Professor of Marketing, Deakin Business School


Kerrie Bridson is Associate Dean Quality Standards and Accreditation for the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University and Associate Professor of Marketing at Deakin Business School. She has previously held a number of leadership roles in the Faculty from Course Director, Director of Undergraduate Programs, to Associate Dean Teaching and Learning before assuming leadership of the QSA portfolio. Over time she has developed and taught a range of units within Marketing and the Business School. Kerrie’s major areas of research and consulting include stakeholder engagement, branding, arts and place-based marketing and student experience and engagement. Her work has been published in a range of journals including the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, and Journal of Marketing Management.









Alimaa Jamiyansuren
Director of Asia Pacific Operations, Tokyo Office, Peregrine Global Services

As an international consultant and economist with 20+ years of experience, Ms. Jamiyansuren focuses on building strategic relationships with institutions of higher education, accrediting associations, and organizations located in the US and around the world. Alimaa also works on service integration with academic programs for Peregrine’s higher education clients.

Prior to joining Peregrine, Alimaa has worked at leading US economic consulting companies, such as NERA Economic Consulting, Princeton Economics Group, CRA International, and privately, on issues related to economics, business, higher education, public relations/communications, and leadership.


Her fields of expertise include higher education accreditation and assessment, training, communications, econometric modeling, and antitrust economics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Cum Laude) from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts, both in Economics, and an Honorary Degree of a Doctor of Business Administration from Ider University in Mongolia. Alimaa is fluent in Mongolian, Russian, and English languages.
