This session shifts the focus to the people and partners at the center of business education: students, faculty, institutional leaders — and employers. As business schools evolve, rapidly changing competency demands are redefining expectations across the educational and professional landscape. This session will explore how institutions can align with emerging workforce needs, empower faculty in their expanding roles, and equip graduates to succeed in a workplace increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and digital innovation—all while harnessing the power of cross-sector collaboration to drive forward-looking educational strategies.

Helen Brand, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Helen Brand is chief executive of ACCA, the global body for professional accountants. Since taking up the role in 2008, Helen has led ACCA through a period of global growth which has seen its membership double to more than quarter of a million. ACCA’s diverse and inclusive community has expanded to cover 180 countries and includes more than half a million future members. Helen is a passionate advocate of the role of accountants in driving an ethical, sustainable and inclusive approach to business and the public sector and is a frequent speaker on these issues. She has widened ACCA’s role in advancing the profession and contributing to the public good, for example through its pioneering work to support the development of the profession in emerging economies and its leadership in developing the skills needed for sustainability reporting and assurance. She was a founding member of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and played a role in its successor organisations. Helen is also a member of the UK government’s Professional and Business Services Council and has participated in a number of trade advisory forums and university advisory boards. In 2022, under India’s leadership, she was a member of the B20 Task Force on the future of Work, Skills and Mobility and in June 2023 she joined the Board of the UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC). Helen was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2011 for services to accountancy and received an honorary doctorate from the University of Exeter in December 2017.
Siya Raj Purohit, OpenAI
Siya Raj Purohit is an education leader, author, and investor. Siya is on the Education Team at OpenAI where she helps manage the growth of ChatGPT Edu across Higher Education and K-12. Siya was previously an early employee at Udacity and Springboard, an investor at GSV Ventures, and the founding EdTech/Workforce category lead for AWS Marketplace. She is the author of Engineering America, a book on the country's jobs-skills gap.
Francisco Veloso, INSEAD
Francisco Veloso became the dean of INSEAD in September 2023. Previously, he was the dean of Imperial College Business School in London and, before that, the dean at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Veloso spent the formative years of his academic career at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Veloso's research focuses on high-tech innovation and entrepreneurship. He has several dozen publications in leading academic journals and has won several international awards for his academic work. He is also a dedicated educator and has supervised more than 10 PhD dissertations, five of which won international awards. Veloso regularly works as a consultant and advisor to startups, established firms, universities, and governments around the world. He is currently a non-executive board member at Arica Holding and Movendo Capital b.v. Veloso is an active contributor to AACSB, EFMD, and AMBA, and is currently on the global board of directors of AACSB. Veloso has a PhD in technology, management, and policy from MIT, as well as an MSc in economics and management of science and technology and an undergraduate degree in physics engineering, both from the University of Lisbon.

Joyce Strawser, Seton Hall University
Joyce A. Strawser is dean of the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, a position she has held since 2012. Strawser joined the Seton Hall faculty in 1995 and has taught courses in many of the subfields of accounting, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a faculty member, Strawser earned awards for her excellence in teaching and service to students. Strawser has provided advice to business schools seeking to develop learning outcomes assessment programs and has made numerous conference presentations on program outcomes assessment and business school accreditation. Strawser joined the AACSB board in 2019, and she currently serves as chair of its Initial Accreditation Committee. She is one of 16 business school deans around the world to have served on AACSB’s Business Accreditation Task Force, which was charged with reimagining business school accreditation and developing the 2020 business accreditation standards. Strawser is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma board of governors. Strawser earned a BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University and a PhD in accounting from Louisiana State University. tly enhances her leadership capabilities in a global context. Her extensive international and multi-industry experience uniquely positions her to drive AACSB’s mission forward.
