Educate, Empower, Elevate: Preparing the next generation for a modern workplace

The session will provide the participants with insights into how organizations (both educational institutions and business organizations) can best prepare the next generation for the modern workplace. The speaker will share her 3Es (Educate, Empower, Elevate) of the effective workplace, their importance, and how managers and school leaders can prepare the best curriculum for the next generation workforce based on them.

The session will address a few challenges business organizations face when it comes to producing a work-ready workforce, let alone a modern workplace-ready force. Additionally, it will help the participants identify and understand some obstacles that might hinder the new generation from being more work-ready and take the first steps to overcome them. 

Speakers

Jenielyn Padernal, Global EdTech Director at CYPHER LEARNING 

Jen has more than 20 years of experience as an educational administrator and 12 years of experience as an instructor. She is responsible for developing edtech centers worldwide and designing online courses, resources, webinars so that users experience the full functionality of learning platforms.

Melanie Harris Turner, M.Ed., Director for Network Operations & Design at Complete College America

Melanie Turner currently serves as the Director for Network Operations & Design at Complete College America where she leads the implementation of the new learning management system and supports institutional transformation student success work. During her career, she has focused on identifying and narrowing the gaps prevalent in higher education that vastly affect marginalized groups. Melanie is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Clemson University. 

Roger Hubmann, Founder of Happy Students 

Roger Hubmann is an expert in Learning and Marketing Engagement. He combines almost 20 years of experience in digital business and online experience creation with his backgrounds as an economist and teacher in adult education. He has won several Startup-Business awards and is a frequent speaker at events in Europe in various languages.
