Professor Xiongwen Lu is Dean of School of Management at Fudan University and Founding Director of Chinese Marketing Research Center at Fudan University.
Professor Lu began his academic career at Fudan University in 1991. He had been Assistant Dean, Chair of Department of Marketing, Associate Dean, Executive Associate Dean, and was appointed as his current position of Dean in September 2006.
Professor Lu’s teaching and research interests cover marketing in China as an immature market, internet marketing in China, service marketing, corporate reorganization, and change management. He is the chief editor of “Advanced Dictionary of Management”, has authored or co-authored seven books and published over five dozens of research papers.
Professor Lu has been serving as Vice Chairman of China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee since the year of 2008. He also served as Board Director of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in the years of 2011~2020.
Professor Lu also sits on the boards of some leading multi-national and Chinese enterprises, including Independent Directors of China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd., Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities Company Limited, Aegon-Industrial Fund Management Co., Ltd., SPD Silicon Valley Bank Co., Ltd, as well as Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone Development Co., Ltd.
Professor Lu received his PhD in Economics from Fudan University and was a Research Fellow and Visiting Scholar at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, MIT Sloan School of Management, and the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University.
