The Data Quality Coordinator supports AACSB International’s data quality and governance efforts by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of organizational data. This position performs routine data quality checks, assists with survey and operational data reviews, and supports the maintenance of data standards and documentation. This role contributes to reliable reporting and analytics by helping prepare data for use across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data in a collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across enterprise systems.
- Assist with regular audits of organizational databases to identify duplicate records, inconsistencies, and missing or inaccurate data.
- Maintain a data quality issue log by documenting identified issues, tracking resolutions, and escalating recurring concerns as appropriate.
- Support the consistent application of established data governance standards, policies, and quality assurance procedures.
- Assist in administering AACSB’s portfolio of surveys by reviewing responses for anomalies or inconsistencies and coordinating follow-up outreach for clarification when needed.
- Conduct quality reviews and audits of survey data collected outside of PeerFocus, including platforms such as Qualtrics.
- Prepare, cleanse, and standardize acquired or incoming datasets to support integration into AACSB’s enterprise data warehouse.
- Support the ongoing maintenance of AACSB’s Data Dictionary by assisting with updates to data definitions, business rules, and metadata documentation.
- Identify common data quality issues and assist in analyzing root causes, recommending preventive improvements, process changes, or automation opportunities as new tools or technologies become available.
- Create and update basic data quality reports or visualizations to help monitor trends and highlight recurring issues.
- Participate in special projects as assigned, including targeted data clean-up initiatives, legacy data reviews, or support for new data sources and systems.
- Perform duties in accordance with AACSB International’s Mission and Values.
Requirements
- Fluency in English language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Associates degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Three (3) years of data processing and data validation experience
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Knowledge of database and spreadsheet tables, query and report design
- Knowledge of survey design, administration and analysis methods

The Research Fellow plays a pivotal role in advancing organizational thought leadership and strategic priorities through the design, delivery, critical evaluation, and dissemination of high-quality research. The post holder demonstrates robust research expertise, applies appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies, critically assesses research findings, and produces high-quality outputs suitable for publication and dissemination across AACSB’s thought leadership and content channel The role actively advances AACSB’s global thought leadership by driving research engagement, fostering knowledge exchange across its member network, and generating demonstrable impact that informs business education and its stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, lead, and implement qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research aligned with strategic and thought leadership priorities, ensuring methodological rigor, ethical integrity, validity, and reliability.
- Develop and apply appropriate research methodologies and instruments, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and literature reviews, situating research within relevant academic, professional, and policy contexts.
- Analyze complex data sets using advanced analytical techniques and synthesize evidence from multiple sources to generate defensible, actionable insights.
- Evaluate research findings and translate results into insights that inform organizational strategy, policy development, and sector-wide practice.
- Produce high-quality research-informed outputs—including reports, white papers, briefing papers, and articles—written suitable for publication and dissemination across AACSB’s thought leadership and content channels.
- Communicate complex research findings clearly and effectively to academic, professional, and industry audiences.
- Support research engagement and knowledge exchange through workshops, consultations, webinars, and collaborative initiatives that extend research impact beyond academia.
- Conduct environmental and horizon scanning to identify emerging issues, inform future research themes, and contribute to organizational thought leadership.
- Manage research projects from concept through dissemination, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Contribute to research proposals, partnership development, and the adoption of emerging research methods, analytical tools, and responsible AI-enabled technologies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline or research focused field where research was a core component.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, survey platforms, and data visualization tools (e.g., dashboards) to support data collection, analysis, and the effective communication of insights.
- At least 8 years demonstrated experience in research, conducting independent, high-quality research, including the design, execution, and critical evaluation of research projects. This experience should also include working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including engagement with globally situated partners and stakeholders.
- Advanced subject knowledge and strong research skills in a relevant discipline, with evidence of the ability to make original and independent contributions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to organize, interpret, analyze, and report on complex qualitative and quantitative data, and critically assess research findings.
- Advanced writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling, evidence-informed content and insights for diverse audiences and for publication across multiple channels.
Preferred Requirements
- Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline or research focused field where research was a core component.
- Experience producing publications in peer-reviewed journals, or equivalent high-quality outputs in professional, policy, or practitioner-focused media
