David A. Griffith, Texas A&M University, Mays Business School
Dr. David A. Griffith is Department Head, Hallie Vanderhider Chair in Business and Professor of Marketing at Texas A&M University. Prior to joining Texas A&M in July 2018, he was Chairperson of the Department of Marketing (2012-2018), and the holder of the Iacocca Chair at Lehigh University. He also served as the John William Byington Endowed Chair in Global Marketing and Professor of Marketing at Michigan State University, where he was the Director of the PhD. Program. His research has been published in the premier academic journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, etc. He served as the Editor-in-Chief (2008-2013) of the Journal of International Marketing. He is a two time winner of the Hans B. Thorelli Award (2018, 2015) for significant and long-term contributions to international marketing theory or practice, as well as a two time winner of the American Marketing Association’s Global Marketing Special Interest Group’s Excellence in Research Award (2018, 2014). He was named a “Rising Star” for the Economics & Business Discipline in 2010 by Thomson Reuters for his impact in the field. In the area of international marketing, an analysis of the period of 1995-2015, ranked him 1st worldwide in terms of publication output based upon proportional authorship, 2nd in terms of total number of publications, and 5th in terms of citation impact in the international marketing literature. In 2017, he was noted as one of the most prolific scholars in the Journal of International Business Studies over the period of 1970-2016.
Kaustav Misra, Associate Dean, School of Business, Central Connecticut State University
Dr. Kaustav Misra received his PhD. in Applied Economics from Mississippi State University in 2010. His primary research areas include public economics, international economics, and family business. He has presented more than 60 articles at national and international conferences. Dr. Misra is the recipient of the 2009 Best Graduate Student Paper in Economics from the Academy of Finance and Economic Conference, Best Doctoral Paper in the Entrepreneurship/Information Technology/Innovation track for 2011 for the Southern Management Association, and Best Paper Presentation Award in 2008 at the International Conference on Economic and Management Perspectives (ICEMP). Dr. Misra has also been honored by Grand Valley State University as a Family Owned Business Institute Research Scholar (2009) and invited as a guest speaker for many national and international conferences and workshops. He has published more than 24 articles in high quality peer reviewed journals. His research in economics and family business has been accepted in refereed journals such as Economics of Education Review, Journal of Socio-Economics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship. He has received many internal and external grants to conduct many projects, which are related to various economic and business issues. He is highly engaged in on and off campus activities. Leading study abroad student trips, assisting the college with AACSB accreditation, serving as a department head, development of the Econ Club, establishment of the Indian Student Association and organizing various events on behalf of the Indian Eastern Central Michigan Association are few examples of his commitments.
