Viput Ongsakul, Chairman, NIDA Business School
Dr. Viput Ongsakul is the Chairman, International Engagement and Accreditation and former Dean at NIDA Business School, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Thailand. He is currently serving as a Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He is also an advisor affiliate at Center for Competitiveness at University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He has volunteered to serve as a chair and member for both AACSB and EFMD accreditation peer review teams for many schools in China, India, Thailand and Malaysia. Through his teaching, consulting and research in the fields of competitiveness, business policy, sustainability, competitive strategy, operations, he has engaged in many consulting works to both public and private agencies. His clients include the Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, the Office of Public Sector Development Commission, the Tobacco Authority of Thailand, Thailand Posts, General Motors (Thailand), PTT Group, F&N to name but a few. Dr. Viput obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He also has a Ph.D. and an M.SC. in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from Texas Tech University, U.S.A
Kwei Tang, Chair Professor, National Chengchi University, College of Commerce
Professor Kwei Tang is University Chair Professor and former Dean of College of Commerce at National Chengchi University. Prior to holding the current position, he was the Allison and Nancy Schleicher Chair of Management and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. He received a B.S. from National Chiao Tung University of Taiwan, an M.S. from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in management science from Purdue University. Professor Tang is a recipient of the 1988 U.S. Presidential Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation, the 1998 Distinguished Alumni Award from National Chiao Tung University, and the 2019 John S. Day Distinguished Alumni Academic Service Award from Purdue University. He also received the 2003 Salgo Noren Foundation Award for Excellence in Teaching, which is a recognition as the best teacher in the Master’s program at the Krannert school voted by students. Professor Tang is a Fellow of Decision Sciences Institute and also held several honorary appointments in Europe and Asia. He is a senior editor of Production and Operations Management and has published over eighty research papers in Management Science, Operations Research, Technometrics, IIE Transactions, and other journals. He has been serving on the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB since 2013. He has also chaired review visits and served as a mentor for a number of schools.
