Barry Burgan, Bond University, Bond Business School
Prof. Barry Burgan is Deputy Dean at Bond University. He recently joined Bond, after an extended career at the University of Adelaide, the last 8 years as Dean of the Business School (and then Dean of Business Development for a group of Schools including Business), and a short time at Torrens University Australia. He has had a varied career path in the public sector and in management consulting. Barry was Dean at Adelaide over a period of substantial change (including the merger of the School of Commerce and the Graduate School of Management, in a major building move to significantly renovated building, and procuring AACSB accreditation). He was on the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB from 2011-2014, and again from 2017. He has undertaken a number of review visits, and has mentored schools in their AACSB journey. Barry researches in the area of infrastructure valuation and financing (with a particular interest in social infrastructure) and has a significant number of publications and research grants in this area. He teaches in the areas of Financial Management, Quantitative Methods and Real Estate Finance and Investment.
