Anthony Devine, Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University
Anthony is an academic in the Accounting and Financial Management department at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University in the UK which is AACSB accredited for both Business and Accounting. His area of teaching financial accounting and corporate governance. He is currently the senior academic accreditation lead within the Business School. Anthony’s PhD is in Family Business and Governance. His research interests include governance, values, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and accounting. He is currently involved with a number of professional organisations including the Family Firm Institute as a GEN faculty member, AACSB as a global trainer for Assurance of Learning, he is on the board of New Writing North (a creative writing charity in the Northeast of England) and is a school governor.
Sauli J. Sohlo, University of Oulu
Sauli Sohlo is the deputy director of the Martti Ahtisaari Institute since 2008, an Education & Research Institute founded with the support of the former President of Finland, Nobel Laureate Martti Ahtisaari. Sauli is actively involved in building international, business and NGO relations for the Institute and Oulu Business School (OBS) at the University of Oulu, Finland. His main responsibilities include the role of head of accreditation in OBS, and he is actively involved in the AACSB International activities, such as the leadership team of the European Affinity Group (EAG). Currently, his research concentrates on the international competition of business schools and business school accreditation. During his career, Sauli has been the director of studies at OBS, as well as the curriculum development manager of the faculty of education in the University of Oulu, altogether for 14 years. Sauli Sohlo is a member of the Oulu Chamber of Commerce since 2007. Prior to joining the Martti Ahtisaari Institute at Oulu Business School, he has worked for the Finnish Council of University Rectors (UNIFI), the Ministry of Education in Finland as well as a director of marketing for Hätälä Ltd. He received his MSc in education at the University of Oulu, and is currently in the process of completing his PhD in marketing at OBS.
