The following Affinity Groups will meet in conjunction with the 2019 AACSB Global Accreditation Conference in San Antonio, Texas, USA.  Please check back for updates.

ATTENTION: There is no pre-registration necessary to attend the Affinity Group meetings at this event. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Participation is free unless otherwise noted.

Digital Transformation Affinity Group Meeting

The Digital Transformation Affinity Group are individuals from AACSB member organizations with interest in the digital transformation of business through the advent of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics.

New Deans Learning Community Affinity Group Meeting

  9:00am - 11:00am

Join the New Deans Learning Community Affinity Group for a pre-conference networking and learning opportunity. Organized as a peer mentoring / round table discussion forum, we will be exploring issues related to connecting faculty with industry, innovative funding ideas, and having those “difficult” conversations. Working in small groups, new deans will have the opportunity to participate in all three conversations during our time together. The New Deans Learning Community consists of academic deans in serving their initial three years as a full-time dean.

Entrepreneurship Programs Affinity Group Meeting

The Entrepreneurship Programs Affinity Group includes representatives from AACSB member organizations that offer majors, minors, or concentrations in entrepreneurship, or have a dedicated entrepreneurship center, faculty-endowed position in Entrepreneurship or sequence(s) of entrepreneurship courses within programs.

The Technology in Business Schools Roundtable Affinity Group includes technology administrators at AACSB member business schools.

Responsible Management Education Affinity Group Meeting

  2:00pm - 3:00pm

The Responsible Management Education Affinity Group consists of AACSB member management educators committed to advancing sustainability, corporate responsibility, social entrepreneurship and innovation, the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). 

A lively, interactive hour with entrepreneur Sam Alexander: Sam Alexander passionately embodies the PRME principles bringing purpose, value, method, research, partnership and dialogue to his innovative, 21st century global business, C2C, through revolutionary fashion and technology ecosystems. Being an industry veteran, he deeply embeds the PRME rebars into a social platform of e commerce for all users to embrace and create one seamless secure "fabric" supporting pedagogy, research and service globally in academia and business. All attending will be motivated by his new world, "real world" view.

Latin America & Caribbean Network Meeting

The Latin America & Caribbean Network provides a platform for best practice and resource sharing for those members in the region or with interest in regional collaboration. Through this network you can engage with peers exploring all aspects of business education in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Small Schools Network Affinity Group Meeting

  3:30pm - 4:45pm

The Small Schools Network Affinity Group includes representatives from AACSB member schools with typically 35 or fewer full-time faculty members.

Standing out in a competitive graduate business education market: As colleges and universities look to diversify their revenue streams and prospective students are looking to gain skills in shorter time frames, business schools are motivated to offer creative alternatives to traditional masters’ degrees while responding to the demands for lifelong learning. Attendees will be asked to share their experiences in developing programs to meet the changing demands of today’s post-baccalaureate students. Groups will be asked to report out for the benefit of the whole group.

Women Administrators in Management Education (WAME) Affinity Group Dinner

This is an informal, pay-your-own-way, social dinner bringing together women administrators, including deans, associate deans, assistant deans, program directors, center directors, and academic department chairs of AACSB member organizations. Pre-registration is required to guarantee your participation as space is limited.
