Professor Lin Zhou has been Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since April 2010. During his deanship, Antai has accelerated the transformation into a significant global player in management education. Antai became the first “triple-crown” Chinese business school being accredited by AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. The bi-annual International Business School Shanghai Conference hosted by Antai provides a great platform for management educators around the world to share ideas and insights on the future of management education. In the meantime, the quality and the reputation of Antai’s programs have steadily increased so that Antai occupies the top position in the inaugural ranking of Asia-Pacific Business Schools by Financial Times in 2017.
In addition to leading Antai, Lin Zhou is also a strong supporter of business schools in emerging markets. He has been a representative of Asia-Pacific business schools in various international associations including AACSB and EFMD.
After receiving his Bachelor degree from Fudan in China, Lin Zhou went to US and received his Ph.D. degree in economics from Princeton in 1989. He taught economics at Yale, Duke, CityU HK, and ASU in the next twenty years before returning to China full time. He was also a visiting professor to many universities in other continents. He is an accomplished scholar in economics, having published many articles in leading academic journals. He was a recipient of the prestigious Alfred P Sloan Research Fellowship in 2003. He was elected a Fellow of the esteemed Econometric Society in 2009.
Lin Zhou also serves on the boards of several companies, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. He received the Magnolia Award from Shanghai Municipal Government in 2014 for making significant contribution to the development of Shanghai.
