Marilyn K. Wiley

Marilyn K. Wiley is dean of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business and professor of finance at the University of North Texas (UNT). She joined UNT in 2009 as senior associate dean.
Wiley earned a BBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MBA and an MS in finance from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a PhD in finance from Texas A&M University. She began her academic career as a faculty member at Florida Atlantic University, later serving as Adams Professor of Finance, MBA director, associate dean, and senior associate dean. Before graduate school, she was vice president of finance and administration for Barrios Technology, a Houston aerospace contractor.
Wiley is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has served on the boards of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Chapter of Financial Executives International, the Eastern Finance Association, and the Southwestern Finance Association. Her research has appeared in numerous academic journals, including the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Futures Markets. D-CEO Magazine has named her one of Dallas’ 500 most influential business leaders annually since 2017.
