In the spirit of continuous improvement, AACSB,
through its volunteer committee network, annually reviews accreditation
standards and processes. The Accreditation Quality Committee (AQC) has the
responsibility to review the standards and their interpretations based on
feedback from peer review teams, accreditation committees, deans, and
discussions at AACSB conferences and seminars. The Accreditation Coordinating
Committee (ACC) conducts similar reviews with a focus on accreditation
processes. In January each year, the work of these two committees results in
modifications to the standards documents and related handbooks, forms, and
related to processes.
This memorandum summarizes the actions of AQC and
ACC during 2007-08 that are now implemented for all AACSB reviews going forward.
