The Economic Impact of Greater Gender Representation

March 2016

Camelia Ilie: I'm a strong believer in big data, and it's what I use when I talk to CEOs, and even with politicians. I think, as in the other countries, Latin America would benefit from a more equal society.

On the other side, the big inequality that we still have in Latin America is mainly because of women that are heads of families with no resources. If we train women, like Vital Forces for instance is doing, we can help them be more economically sustainable. Families could be moved from poor to middle class.

I really think that we can make a big impact in Latin America by addressing this both in private and public sectors. It should be an alliance in the two aspects of private and public sectors.
