Plenary II: Creating the Sustainable Business Leaders of Today and Tomorrow

weybrechtGiselle Weybrecht is the author of The Sustainable MBA: The Manager's Guide to Green Business(www.thesustainablemba.com) which introduces sustainability as it relates to the core topics in a business degree. Prior to this she worked for the United Nations internationally in sustainable development. Today she works with government, universities, NGOs, business and with social entrepreneurs in sustainability around the world. She is committed to ensuring that the next generation of business leaders fully understand sustainability by working with business schools and businesses to embed these issues into their programmes.

Weybrecht works with a range of business schools internationally and business school organizations from around the world including GMAC, PRME, EFMD, GRLI, AACSB, GBSN and the Global Compact. She writes on sustainability and business issues for a variety of publications including Forbes and is the founder/author of PRiMEtime, a blog around sustainability and management education in collaboration with the UN Global Compact and the Principles for Responsible Management Education.

 

Plenary IV: Sustainable Enterprise: From Campus to Community

saillantRoger Saillant, PhD, is a recognized authority in renewable energy and sustainability and has served as a pioneer in fuel cells, energy policy, and holistic management techniques. His extensive corporate experience includes seven years as CEO of Plug Power, a cutting-edge fuel cell company. Prior to that, he was a senior executive at Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation, and he has worked to open plants and operations in Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Dr. Saillant teaches and speaks on sustainability issues, and recent speaking engagements have been at leading colleges and universities including the Sloan School at MIT, Fordham University, and New York University. Another of his passions is communicating sustainability concerns to mainstream society—in this vein, he has recently co-authored a novel, Vapor Trails, dealing with some of today's hottest issues, such as climate change, carbon sequestration, and corporate control. The book has received excellent expert reviews.
