Applied Learning Spaces (Laboratories and Simulators)

Modern business school facilities often include various forms of applied learning spaces in which business students can receive “hands-on” experience with career-related activities in a risk-free environment.

Examples of a variety of applied learning spaces are provided below:

Behavioral Research Laboratories

The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)
Hosts a behavioral laboratory designed to facilitate, through a board-room set-up and one-way mirrors, behavioral experiments, and scenario simulation.

The Netcentric Behavioral Lab complements an adjacent Eye Tracking Lab and Team Processing Lab.

Trading floors and financial labs are among the most common forms of specialized instructional spaces.These spaces are designed to allow business students to hone their stock-market trading skills and apply learned theory in a risk-free setting.

Moot Boardrooms

Moot boardrooms mimic the corporate boardroom setting to host simulated discussions and corporate presentations. Most of these rooms have capacity for observers either within the room or connected via Internet feed.
