Flexibility

Many new business school facilities are incorporating multi-purpose attributes, as well as other features designed to accommodate every day needs. A few examples from recent construction are provided below:

Yonsei University
Graduate School of Business Building
Creativity Powerhouse

Includes a convention hall that can be divided into spaces of various sizes to accommodate different uses

College of William and Mary
Mason School of Business
Allen B. Miller Hall

Classrooms are designed to be easily reconfigured depending on the school’s changing needs for tiered, clustered or flat floor classrooms. The facility also includes a 4,000 square-foot multi-purpose room that can accommodate more than 200 diners or more than 370 individuals attending lectures or presentations.

University of Michigan
Ross School of Business
The school includes 12 tiered, u-shaped discussion classrooms (with a capacity of more than 85), each of which has two adjacent group-study rooms to accommodate spontaneous break-out sessions. Furniture in the five other classrooms (each with a capacity of 40) is configurable to support different activities.
