Environmental Friendly Designs
Given the growing importance of managing the effects of climate change and the campus’s carbon footprint, business schools are increasingly incorporating environmentally sustainable features in their facilities planning and use. The development of green-building rating schemes in many countries has enabled schools to be recognized for efforts to make energy efficiency, conservation, and eco-friendly designs a priority.
Some architectural and construction firms employ professionals who are certified by one or more of the green-building rating schemes in order to ensure proposed projects can and will meet green building standards.
AACSB Member Schools with Certified Green Buildings
An ever-increasing number of AACSB member schools around the world are housed
in buildings that have been certified by national organizations or authorities
as having met rigorous standards for sustainable construction and/or design. The
links below provide a list of such member schools, by country. Please note that
only those buildings associated with the business unit are listed; individual
AACSB member schools may have other certified structures not so associated. If
you would like to update or list your school, please email
