Eller Ethics Case Competition
This competition exposes students to a thought provoking ethical case that they could face in their professional careers. Student teams collaboratively analyze a case, present a response, and answer questions posed by a panel of judges. The experience promises to challenge students’ moral reasoning, provide a wonderful networking opportunity, and in the end, raise students’ awareness of the importance of corporate social responsibility.

Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics Student Essay Competition
Each year the center presents awards to students from each of the three academic divisions for the best essay on an ethical topic of their choice. The aim of the essay contest is to encourage students to think and write about ethics from the perspective of their disciplines and to reward those students who produce an exceptional paper.

Dalhousie University
Dalhousie Business Ethics Case Competition
The competition strives to foster an environment through which undergraduate business students may broaden their knowledge and understanding of business ethics and corporate social responsibility. Student teams prepare a response to an ethics case prior to the event; upon presenting the response, those teams that advance to a second round have four hours to prepare a response to a second case. A third case analysis is then conducted by the teams advancing to the final round.

The Center for Ethics and Business and the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) have joined to offer this invitation-only case competition, which takes place at the ECOA’s annual conference. The partnership is supported by Ernst & Young LLP.
