Business School Faculty Trends Report
(2008). AACSB International.

This report presents information from a variety of sources, including several years of data from AACSB International's Annual Business School Questionnaire (BSQ) and Salary Survey. The report is designed to assist business school leaders in understanding how their faculty have changed and how to plan for the future. Data and trends in this report are organized into three broad areas: demographics, qualifications, and markets. The latter section includes a look at indicators of future demand for doctoral faculty.

Sustaining Scholarship in Business Schools
(2003). Doctoral Faculty Commission. AACSB International.

The Doctoral Faculty Commission was appointed by the AACSB International Board of Directors to assess widespread concerns related to a significant and worsening doctoral faculty shortage. Their report, published in 2003, examines the management education industry's capacity to replenish and grow the size of business doctoral faculty, and offers a series of recommendations to address the growing gap between production of and demand for these individuals who serve as the “lifeline of academic business schools.”

Management Education at Risk
(2002). Management Education Task Force. AACSB International.

The Management Education Task Force was appointed by the AACSB International Board of Directors to identify the challenges that face business schools worldwide and recommend institutional responses. The task force also was asked to recommend how AACSB and its member schools can lead change in key areas. Among the issues addressed in their 2002 report is the threat of a shortage of doctoral faculty.
