About
Mission
To stimulate an international
discussion and communication of the importance of business education to
management education constituents and stakeholders
Objectives
- Illustrate and communicate
the importance of management education to individuals, organizations, and
societies
- Address critical issues
facing management education
- Provide resources to
business school deans and faculty
Overview
Following the continuous dialog
questioning the relevance of management education, business educators have found
importance in communicating the value of business schools to their stakeholders
and constituents.
The Committee on Issues in Management Education (CIME)
Task Force published “Why Management Education Matters” to illustrate the
value of management education and raise an awareness of its benefits to
individuals, organizations, and societies. The report is the foundation for an
on-going communication process that will provide management educators and
stakeholders with evidence of the value of secondary education in a business
field of study.
