ABS Launches International Marketers Program (IMAR)
Through the IMAR program, three separate visits to world renowned global business schools will feature presentations and learning experiences from faculty and fellow marketers. Participants will gain insight and different perspectives of how schools manage and implement their marketing plans and processes, as well as fantastic opportunities to build networks and benchmark with peers from around the globe.

IMA Announces FAR Emerging Scholar and IECJ Case Competition Award Winners
In October, the Institute of Management Accountants announced the winners of two prestigious academic awards: The inaugural IMA Educational Case Journal (IECJ) Case Writing Competition, which is a quarterly online journal that publishes teaching cases and research for accountants or financial professionals in business; and the The Foundation for Applied Research (FAR) Emerging Scholar Manuscript Award, which recognizes an exceptional manuscript of a single emerging scholar (or lead author) in management accounting.

Le Moyne College Launches School of Business
In a move that will fundamentally change the approach to business education at Le Moyne, the College has announced the formation of a School of Business. Previously business education at Le Moyne—which is comprised of six majors and an MBA Program—was housed under the Division of Management. More

With the International Executive MBA Program, two of the leading business schools in Germany and Spain offer a joint program for executives starting in October 2012.

Oxford B-School's New 1+1 MBA Program
The University of Oxford's Saïd Business School is launching its own version of the dual degree MBA, a program they've dubbed the "1+1 MBA Program." Starting next fall, students will have the option of tacking an extra year onto their studies, allowing them to specialize in an area that will pertain to their future career, while earning an additional master's degree.

USD to Begin Offering Master of Professional Accountancy Degree Online
The Accounting Program at the University of South Dakota will soon offer its master's degree in professional accountancy online. The South Dakota Board of Regents recently approved the university's request to extend the degree online, allowing students to enroll in the Master of Professional Accountancy program beginning January 2012.

University of Cape Town Business School Creates New Scholarships for Social and Green Innovation
The University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business has announced that it has created five new full scholarships for its MBA program. The Bertha Scholarship will be awarded annually, starting in 2012, to candidates who are dedicated to working in or starting entrepreneurial ventures that tackle social or environmental problems.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas announced a 15 million USD donation from the Ted and Doris Lee Family to bolster business education at UNLV. More
Funding For New Research into Green Deal Take-Up
The University of East Anglia (UEA) has been awarded new funding to research the Green Deal and how to encourage its take-up among consumers. The 355,000 GBP award from the UK Energy Research Centre will fund research being conducted by the Norwich Business School and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at UEA into the Green Deal, the UK Government's flagship energy policy to insulate Britain's homes and businesses. Montana State University Receives 25 Million USD Gift – Largest in School History
In late October, Montana State University went all out to thank Jake Jabs, the rags-to-riches furniture store magnate, for donating 25 million USD to build a new College of Business, the largest single gift in the State University System's history. More
Dubai Varsity Receives 500,000 USD to Help Iraqi Business Schools
The University of Dubai will use a 500,000 USD grant from USAID to help two Iraqi universities improve the quality of their business programs, which have deteriorated after wars and economic hardship. More
