Management Education News from AACSB International

AACSB International Honors the Russian Association of Business Schools (RABE)

In September, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation gathered to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Russian Association of Business Education (RABE). Representatives from the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and the Russian National Training Foundation—to name a few—were in attendance. Also present at the commemoration were presidents, deans, and rectors of the RABE member universities from across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, representatives of the Russian business community, as well as RABE’s foreign partner associations. These associations included AACSB International, Association of MBAs (AMBA), Italian Association for Management Education (ASFOR), CEEMAN, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), among others.

Michael D. Wiemer, assistant vice president of outreach, presented RABE president Leonid Evenko with a special commemorative award on behalf of AACSB, including a presentation highlighting RABE’s many achievements for Russian business education and workforce development during the past 20 years.
