the site of AACSB International’s signature faculty event. Participants will
share best practices and experiential techniques, delve deeper into
comprehensive business simulations to assess learning in the classroom, and
explore new technologies to assess learning outcomes.
The plenary sessions feature top faculty teaching experts on
subjects of importance to all instructors. Dr. Ken Bain, vice provost and
director of the Research Academy for University Learning at Montclair State
University, is an education expert and author of the award-winning book, “What
the Best College Teachers Do.” Adopted by many colleges and universities for
their faculty development programs, it explores the results from his 15-year
study of over 100 colleges across the country and is one of the nation’s top
selling books on higher education—. In his session, Dr. Bain will explore the
practices and insights of the nation’s most successful teachers.
Dr. Earl Simendinger, a tenured management professor at
The University of Tampa’s John H. Sykes College of Business and lead facilitator
of AACSB’s popular Teaching Effectiveness Seminar, will deliver his expertise
and insights to enhance attendees’ teaching effectiveness.
Conference attendees will receive a macro view of business
schools in the plenary session presented by AACSB International’s Chief
Knowledge Officer Dan LeClair. The emphasis of the session will be on
business school faculties, leveraging new data from AACSB’s forthcoming report
on trends in faculty qualifications, demographics, and compensation. The plenary
will offer insights into recent developments related to students, programs, and
finances of business schools, as well as the most pressing issues facing
management education worldwide.
