Sessions Announced for World-Class Practices in
Management Education Conference
Hosted by IAE–Business School, Austral University in Buenos
Aires, this summer’s World-Class Practices in Management Education Conference
connects best practices used by the world’s top business schools to
region-specific issues and interests.
This year’s plenary sessions explore a range of important
topics, many related to the unique challenges business educators face in Latin
America.
The opening plenary, Regional Economic and Social
Perspectives, is led Juan Llach— respected economist, former Minister of
Education for Argentina and senior faculty member at IAE. He will explore
situational factors unique to Latin America and perspectives for the future, as
well as their impact on management education. Additional plenary sessions
include Strategic Leadership in Business Schools, from Fernando Fragueiro
(Dean, IAE–Business School, Austral University), and Claudio Hadad (President,
Ibmec São Paolo); Accreditation and Thought Leadership Initiatives, and
Impacts in Latin America, led by John Fernandes and Jerry Trapnell; and
The Linkage Between Business and Academia, led by a panel of deans from the
region.
In addition to the plenary speakers, the conference will
feature concurrent sessions on developing MBA programs, addressing Latin
America’s PhD shortage, building quality faculties, and creating financial
strategies that address resource constraints.
AACSB also will host an informal breakfast Q & A and
networking session on accreditation.
