What information do we collect?
AACSB International collects information from its users when registering on AACSB.edu, placing an order, subscribing to an electronic publication, and/or responding to a survey or form.
When ordering or registering on an AACSB International web property, as appropriate, users may be asked to enter their: name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information. You may, however, visit our websites anonymously.
What does AACSB International use your information for?
Any information AACSB International collects from its users may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize and improve your online experience
- To improve customer service
- To process transactions
- To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other online activity
- To send periodic communications
Your electronic information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, and/or provided to any other company/organization for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. However, AACSB International does sell mailing lists of its member institutions (which contains mailing addresses only).
The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product, and/or service information, etc.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, AACSB International provides unsubscribe instructions and options at the bottom of each email communication.
How does AACSB International protect your information?
AACSB International implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
AACSB International provides secure servers. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, and encrypted into our payment gateway providers' database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems. Individuals with such access are required to keep any and all information confidential.
Yes. Cookies are small files that a website or its service provider(s) transfers to its users' hard drive through a Web browser (if you so allow). This process enables the website(s) or service providers' systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information that can improve your user experience.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
AACSB International does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties that assist AACSB International in operating its websites, conducting business, or servicing members and users, so long as these parties agree to keep all information confidential. AACSB International may also release user information when it believes the release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce its website(s) policies, or protect its or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, research, or other uses.
The Use of Third Party Links
Occasionally, at AACSB International's discretion, third party products or services may be offered via websites (i.e., digital banner advertisements from paid advertisers). These third party websites have separate and independent privacy policies. AACSB International, therefore, has no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked websites. Nonetheless, AACSB International seeks to protect the integrity of its website(s) and welcomes any and all feedback about these linked websites.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
Because AACSB International values its users' privacy, it has taken necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. AACSB International, therefore, will not distribute its users' personal information to outside parties without authorized consent.
As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of AACSB International's websites may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their "my AACSB" account and going into the 'My Profile' page. Organizational profiles cannot be changed by users. Individual profiles may be changes by the authorized user.
Childrens' Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
AACSB International is in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens' Online Privacy Protection Act). AACSB International does not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. AACSB International's websites, products, and services are all directed to individuals that are at least 13 years old or older. AACSB International does not produce any products or services that are of threat to individuals under the age of 13.
When users register for an event, their information, limited to full name, school/institution, email address, and phone number, may be distributed to other attendees and any sponsor(s) of the event registered for.
