Membership Criteria
The primary membership for the Women Administrators in Management Education
is women administrators in AACSB International member educational organizations,
including dean, associate dean, assistant dean, program director, center
director, and academic department chair.
Participation in appropriate activities and events, which are designed to
provide education and enrichment for the general membership, will be open to all
AACSB International members.
Purpose/Objectives
- To facilitate networking, communications and relationship-building among
woman administrators in management education and to AACSB International
general membership.
- To provide a forum for discussion of interests, issues and needs of woman
administrators, within AACSB International and their home institutions.
- To identify and provide professional and career development opportunities
for current and future (e.g. – faculty) woman administrators in management
education.
- To proactively work toward greater representation and advancement of women
in business school leadership positions.
- Encouraging members to propose programs and seek leadership positions in
AACSB International and develop opportunities for participation in AACSB
International sponsored programs and governance.
Programs and Activities
Programs and activities to accomplish the objectives of Women Administrators
in Management Education include, but are not limited to:
- Sponsoring professional and career development workshops and seminars for
affinity group members, AACSB International members at the AACSB annual
meeting, and at selected AACSB International conferences throughout the year
- Establish and maintain a database of women administrators in management
education, and of information pertinent to achieving the objectives of the
group. (The listing information will be available to AACSB International
members and used to establish and maintain an affinity group listserv)
- Identifying and assisting with preparation of specialized data,
information and reports on affinity group issues to support the affinity
group and AACSB International goals and objectives
- Sharing information on professional and career development opportunities
for women administrators
- Establishing mechanisms, as appropriate, for mentoring of current and
potential women administrators in AACSB International
